Security

Your conversations stay private.

Genius is built from the ground up for sensitive professional conversations. Here is how we protect everything you record.

Encryption in Transit

All data transmitted between your Genius device, the app, and our processing servers uses TLS 1.3. No audio or note data ever travels over an unencrypted connection.

Encryption at Rest

Your recordings, transcripts, and summaries are stored using AES-256 encryption. Encryption keys are managed with strict separation from the data they protect.

Access Controls

We operate on a principle of least privilege. Only the systems that require access to process your data have it. No employee has broad access to user recordings.

Infrastructure

Genius uses cloud infrastructure operated by certified providers who meet SOC 2 and ISO 27001 standards. Data is processed in compliant regions.

Data Deletion

When you delete a recording or your account, the deletion is permanent and irreversible. We do not retain soft-deleted data. Your request is actioned within 30 days.

Vulnerability Disclosure

If you discover a security vulnerability, please email security@genius.ai with details. We investigate all reports promptly and will acknowledge receipt within 48 hours.

Data Isolation

Each user's data is isolated from other users at the storage and processing layers. Your recordings and notes are never accessible to other Genius users.

Third-Party Security

All third-party service providers who handle user data are vetted for security compliance before onboarding.

These providers operate under data processing agreements that restrict their use of your data to service delivery only.

Incident Response

In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulatory authorities within the timeframes required by law.

Our incident response process includes immediate containment, root cause analysis, remediation, and disclosure.
