When you use Genius, we collect the following categories of information:

Recording data: audio recordings you capture using the Genius device, along with the transcripts, summaries, and action items generated from them.

Account information: if you create an account, we collect your email address and service preferences.

Device data: anonymised identifiers that associate your device with your account and help us improve service reliability.

Payment data: we do not store payment card details. Payments are processed by certified third-party payment providers.

We use your information to deliver and improve the Genius service, including:

Providing accurate transcription and AI-powered summaries of your recordings.

Sending order confirmations, service notifications, and product updates.

Analysing aggregated and anonymised usage patterns to improve our AI models.

We do not use your personal recordings to train our AI without your explicit consent.

Your audio recordings are processed by AI models to generate transcripts, summaries, action items, and follow-up tasks.

Audio is transmitted securely to our processing infrastructure using TLS 1.3 encryption.

We minimise data retained after processing — raw audio is not permanently stored beyond what is required to deliver your notes.

You can delete any recording, transcript, or summary from your account at any time.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

We share data only with service providers who operate under strict data processing agreements, including cloud infrastructure and AI processing partners.

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or applicable regulation.

We retain your recordings and notes for as long as your account remains active.

You may delete any individual recording, transcript, or your entire account at any time through the Genius app.

Upon account deletion, all associated personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP) and applicable law, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.

Correct inaccurate personal data.

Request deletion of your personal data.

Withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis.
